Bob Hastings Will Be Missed
A fatal accident at his home took the life of Bob Hastings on May 20. Bob was the marketing director and newsletter editor for The Landing in Marblehead for nine years. He performed the same editorial duties for The Landing at Seven Central for the past four years. A Brown University graduate, a former editor at The Lynn Daily Item and founder president of Hastings Communications, Bob was a faithful and valuable professional colleague and more than anything else, he was a friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Bob Hastings will be missed.
CELTIC SESSIONS Celtic singer Michael O'Leary along with string players Bob & Jen Strom are performing traditional Celtic music sessions upstairs in The Lee Room on Sunday JuLY 7th and Sunday, July 20 from 6 to 9 PM. These are packed house events!
We're offering Charity Tuesdays On Tuesday evenings we're offering non-profit organizations our Charity Night Plan and the first was Catholic Charities in May. The organization hosts whatever kind of event it wishes to raise funds and The Landing donates 20% of all the receipts from the evening generated by food and beverage sales to the charity.
Cribbage Night is Sunday, July 20 Our popular Cribbage Tournament will be held Sunday, June 20 beginning at 6 p.m. Everyone gets to play seven games. Come test your skill in this challenge. The April winner was Johnny Harnois. The May winner was Lou Coulouras and June's was Lynn Cribbage.
MARCH FOR THE TROOPS with Johnny
On Friday, July 11 Johnny Harnois will host another March For The troops. Customers bring in donations for our hospitalized soldiers in Iraq and get a chance to win several valuable prizes.
NAME THAT TUNE FRIDAYS
Now in addition to Wednesday Nights Trivia, we're adding Name That Tune Trivia with Johnny Harnois Friday evenings in The Pub. It's all for fun and prizes.
GOLF AND BIKE NIGHTS THURSDAYS Our Golf and Summer Sports Nights are back every Thursday during the summer. Featured golf courses this year include the Meadows at Peabody, Cape Ann Golf Course, Blackstone National in Sutton and our new sponsor, The Sugarloaf Golf Club.
HANNAH MCBRIDE'S DEBUT
Gordon College's own Hannah McBride will make her Cape Ann debut on Saturday, July, 19 at 9:00 P.M. in the Pub. Hannah, an accomplished song writer and vocalist, will perfom many of her originals. Come early, stay late. No cover, no minimum.
